Tokyo: Audio Tour of the Enchanted Gardens of the Imperial Palace

About

The audio tour will start at Takebashi metro station and take you through the part of the palace that is open to the public — the wonderful gardens that stretch around the Edo fortress. During the walk, you will learn the whole truth about the seemingly familiar customs of the ninja and samurai, and, of course, about those they serve — the imperial family.

You will stroll among lotus ponds and learn about Japanese garden art and how the Japanese create “paradise on earth”. Having looked into the Suwano tea house, you will get acquainted with the canons of the tea ceremony. Then you will examine the main imperial palace and learn what secrets it hides. You will walk along arched bridges past watchtowers and listen to stories about ancient Japanese clans, the philosophy of Zen Buddhism and the life of modern Japanese.

The tour will end in the Wadakura fountain park near the Nijubashimae metro station. At the end, you will find a pleasant bonus – recommendations of interesting places and museums in the vicinity of the palace with their exact indication on the map in the application.
