Full Day Guided Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon Coach Tour

About

Oxford University is the oldest university in Europe and the first English-language university. Studying and walking here is like walking side by side with many great minds, understanding them a little better.

Another place where you can feel the purely British genius is Stratford-upon-Avon, or Stratford-upon-Avon, a small town in Warwickshire, which played a huge role in the history of British and world literature, because it was here that William Shakespeare was born, whose works are still read, performed on stage and understood.

What awaits you:
History and interesting facts about the university and Shakespeare’s birthplace that you will not find on the pages of textbooks.
If you are lucky, you will be able to look into one of the colleges of Oxford University and see how modern students live (let’s not forget that this is an active educational institution, so access to the college may be closed due to classes).
A little more about Shakespeare’s personality. What do we know about the great English poet? Even today, there are lively debates about his personality and biography, as well as the authorship of some of his works. Some even question the very identity of the playwright! A guide and a walk around Stratford will help you sort all this out.
Pleasant gatherings in an old pub after the tour with a glass of good English ale.
You will see:
Oxford University and the surrounding areas. You will find out which famous people studied and taught here, why the electric bell is the longest continuous experiment in history and how today’s students live at one of the most prestigious universities.
Stratford, located on the River Avon and known as the birthplace of William Shakespeare. You will see an ancient stone bridge from the 15th century, which still does its job, as well as the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
Shakespeare’s House Museum, where he was born and raised. Here you can see the interiors of the poet’s time as close as possible, as well as some originals. The museum exposition tells about the years of the English playwright’s life in the city, right up until his death. The Church of the Holy Trinity, which is also called “Shakespeare’s Church” because it was here that the poet was baptized and later buried. Inside the temple is the main attraction – the Shakespeare Tombstone.
