Interesting facts and details
Depending on availability and schedule, you can visit one of the non-touristy and hidden places in Florence.
The first of them is the oldest pharmacy in Europe, painted by the Italian artist Paolino Sarti. It was here in the 16th century that perfume was created for Catherine de Medici, the aroma of which conquered the entire upper echelon of the Old World. This is one of the most Instagrammable places in the city, where tourists rarely visit.
Another treasure is the small Museo della Signoria. Here you will see an incredible canvas showing what Florence looked like in the 15th century, as well as the keys to the city.
You will also find a cinema from the beginning of the last century, built inside the palace on which Brunelleschi himself worked. Having preserved its historical interior, this cinema has been transformed into an exhibition space and a bookstore. This secret place is perfect for cool photos!
